Description:Mama Sita's Adobo Savoury Sauce Mix

This garlicky concoction of spices serves as a perfect base for authentic Filipino adobo.

Adobong Manok (Serves 8):
Ingredients:
1 pouch (50g) Mama Sita's Adobo Mix dissolved in 1 cup (250 ml) water
2.2 lbs (1 kg) chicken, cut into serving pieces
2 heads (50g) garlic, crushed
2 tbsp (30 ml) cooking oil
Cooking Instructions:
1. In a saucepan, combine chicken, half of the garlic, Mama Sita's Adobo Mix and water. Cover and cook over high heat
2. When the mixture starts to boil, lower the heat and simmer until chicken is tender and cooked through. Separate the chicken pieces from the sauce
3. Heat oil in a wok and saute garlic until golden. Add the chicken pieces and stir-fry. Pour in the sauce and continue cooking for another 5 minutes or until the sauce is thick

Store in a cool dry place.
