Description:Habib Authentic Pakistani Basmati Rice
Finest Quality

Habib selects only the finest authentic Pakistani Basmati Rice which is grown at the foothills of the Himalayas in the Punjab province of Pakistan.
Habib Basmati Rice is harvested from selected paddy and then aged to develop the fragrant aroma and delicious taste.
All Habib Basmati Rice is then carefully milled in England where each grain is gently cleaned and polished to premium quality which guarantees perfect cooked results every time.

Instructions: No need to rinse. For a softer grain, soak in cold water for 15-30 minutes before cooking.

Open Pan Method: Place 225g (8oz) rice in a large pan. Add around 1.25 litres (2 pints) boiling water. Return to boil, stir then simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Drain and rinse with boiling water before serving.

Covered Pan Method: Place 225g (8oz) rice in a large pan. Add 450ml (3/4 pint) cold water. Bring to the boil, stir once, cover and simmer gently for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Portion Control: Allow the following approximate quantities of uncooked rice:
For accompaniment 50g
When mixed with other ingredients 40g
For main meal 75g

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place off the ground.
