Cooking Directions:

1. Measure 2-2.5 cups of water 1 teaspoon salt into a heavy saucepan (at least 2 qt. capacity) and bring to boil. Add a table-spoon of butter or margarine, if desired.
2. Stir in 1 cup of rice.
3. Cover the saucepan. Lower the heat and simmer 20 minutes or until the rice is tender and all the water in absorbed.
4. Makes about 3 cups of fluffy brown jasmine rice.
