Koshi Yutaka Rice is a premium rice cultivated in the rich paddy fields using groundwater from the Mekong Delta, the breadbasket region of Vietnam.
Every year we send off a premium blend of Japanese rice seeds for the best output and cultivate the rice under the supervision of experienced Japanese farmers. To guarantee the best quality, we produce the rice using Japanese machinery, maintained by Japanese technicians.
Normally Japanese rice is harvested once a year, but the rich nature in the Mekong Delta enabled farmers to harvest Koshi Yutaka rice three times a year, allowing us to bring the freshest possible rice to your kitchens all year round.

How to cook sushi rice:
1. Wash 250g Koshi Yutaka Rice with cold water, stirring in a circle with your hand. Drain and repeat until water is clear, then soak in cold water for 15-30 minutes before draining it thoroughly. Soaking allows the rice to absorb water right to the centre of each grain for even cooking.
2. Add 300ml of water and the washed rice to a heavy-based saucepan. Bring to the boil and simmer for approx. 12 minutes with the lid on.
3. Turn off the heat and leave to stand with the lid on for 15-30 minutes, before serving.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place.
