Chinese Lion Dance, Feb 2008

Wai Yee Hong welcomed Yi Quin Lion Dancing Club from Southampton on the 17th February 2008 for a Chinese New Year lion dance. The troupe impressed the crowds with their performance and exciting moves.

Not only were we visited by a large red lion, but also a nimble-footed baby lion too. The pair of lions shared a kiss by the entrance to the store whilst bemused customers on the massage chairs looked on.

The lions went on to spread good fortune on the shop floor by dancing around the aisles. The finale of ‘Choi Tseng’ (consuming the greens in return for lai see) included an impressive acrobatic split by the baby lion.
